Cornerstone OnDemand Pricing
Quote-only enterprise model. Cornerstone’s pricing page states that cost depends on organisation needs and size; the only published path is a demo request.
A full talent + learning platform, not a standalone LMS
Cornerstone OnDemand began as one of the original cloud LMS vendors and has since absorbed Saba (acquired 2020) and EdCast (acquired 2022). The Learning module is sold as part of a broader talent platform that includes Performance, Recruiting, and Content. That bundling is a feature for HRIS-led buyers and a friction for buyers that only want learning.
What Cornerstone shows on the pricing page
| Tier | Learner range | Rate | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Enterprise quote | large enterprise focus | Not published | Pricing assigned per opportunity. No tier list published. |
Why Cornerstone won’t publish a rate
- Enterprise LMS deals carry six- and seven-figure contract values. A published per-user rate becomes a buyer ceiling on day one, and Cornerstone would rather discover what each buyer can pay during discovery.
- The platform is sold as multi-module (Learning + Performance + Recruiting + Content). Bundle pricing wins on margin against single-module competitors.
- Large enterprise buyers typically run an RFP anyway, so the lack of a published rate is rarely the deal-killer it would be for an SMB.
Levers Cornerstone controls
- Module-by-module pricing. Force a learning-only line item out of the bundle.
- Implementation services scope; partners or Cornerstone-led delivery; fixed-fee vs T&M.
- Content library: Cornerstone Content Anytime is an upsell, ask for it itemised.
- Contract length and seat-true-up cadence (annual vs quarterly).
- Renewal cap on price escalation; pin to CPI or hard percentage.
